Thakane Molapo

Miss Thakane Molapo is charged with the responsibility of providing high level financial and administrative leadership to the company, while also interfacing with Avalanche’s strategic partners and clients. Ms. Molapo is a former Grants and Contracts Specialist at the Department of Psychological Sciences of the University of Connecticut in the United States of America. With more than ten years’ experience in grant management and fiscal accountability, Ms. Molapo has expertise in budgeting, budget projects and expenditure monitoring, compliance with organisational fiscal accountability plans including conducting fiscal review of projects. She has also been a key figure in progress reporting and accountability in this role.

Prior to the University of Connecticut, Ms. Molapo was Legal Clerk at Lyle Legal Services where she provided strategic assistance to lead attorney in all legal matters including the preparation of motions and briefs.

Ms. Molapo was also a Purchasing Agent at the Centre for Environmental Sciences and Engineering where she assumed all accounting responsibilities of the Centre, ranging from crosschecking procurement and financial plans, processing and making timely payments of all departmental invoices and conducting periodic bank reconciliations and reporting. She also ensured that every transaction followed the Centre’s fiscal accountability and procurement plans and the U.S. GAAP. Ms. Molapo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the College of Notre Dame in California, specialising in Finance. She also holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in Connecticut.
